Mid-term Break
School will be closed on Thursday, 19th and Friday, 20th February for the mid-term break.
Inaugural Parent-Teacher Association Meeting
We’d like to organise an official parent-teacher association meeting. All parents are welcome to attend. Parents interested in attending the meeting should reply to this email, indicating whether a day or evening time would suit best. The meeting will be to discuss the establishment of the PTA as well as to begin planning for a school event/fundraiser that will take place in April.
Healthy Eating
This week we made healthy sandwiches and tried out various fillings including tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese and hummus. Many thanks to everyone for sending in all the healthy and interesting lunches. A reminder that we’d ask parents not to send in any sweets, chocolate, fizzy drinks, crisps and other similar items.
Galway Educate TogetherSecond-Level Start-up Group
A very active group of parents is campaigning to establish an Educate Together secondary school in Galway. You can find out more information at their website, http://get2ls.org/. Parents can fill out an expression of interest to show support for the campaign.
Visit to the Vet
We hope to visit the vet this week as we begin a new imaginative play theme for Aistear. Details will be provided as they are finalised.

We have almost completed our round of Show and Tell. Sincere appreciation for helping to prepare your child in advance. We’ll do Show and Tell again before the summer with a new theme.
