Welcome Back
A sincere welcome back to all the children returning to the school for another year and particularly a hearty welcome to the new children and their families joining us in junior infants as well as other classes. It’s exciting to continue to see the school growing!
After-School Clubs
We will resume some of the after-school clubs in the coming weeks. Because we no longer have a spare classroom, the type of activities may be different. Look for an announcement in the next newsletter. When the timetable is ready, parents can sign up on the noticeboard in the school.
School Office
Claudia, our school secretary, is in the office daily from 8.30-10.30. You may contact her regarding paying fees as well as other general school questions.
New Email Contacts
New email addresses have been set up if you need to contact a teacher. Just use the teacher’s first name followed by @ketns.ie (for example, matt@ketns.ie).
School Fees
Many thanks to all the families who have paid the school fees for this year. Please remember to use your own name or your child’s name as a reference when making a bank transfer into the school account.
Website
All current information about the school can be found on our website, www.ketns.ie. In particular, we’d encourage families to take note of the holiday periods which can be found on the calendar page on the website.
Absence Notifications
We kindly ask parents to contact the school in the event of any absence. This can be done by phoning the school or emailing secretary@ketns.ie. If your child arrives late or leaves early, we’d kindly ask you to sign the register book located in the school office. More information about our attendance policy can be found on our website.
Garden
Senior Infants harvested all the carrots and potatoes from the school garden. The potatoes were particularly tasty, and after a lively debate, we decided to both roast and mash them. They were delicious!
