PTA Meeting

A reminder that the next meeting will take place on Wednesday, 21st October at 19.00.  All parents are most welcome to attend.  Officers for the PTA will be selected.

 

Board of Management

The election for parent nominees for the new Board of Management will take place this week.  Each family will be given a ballot on Monday.  These ballots should be completed and placed in the school post box (the metal one at the left of the front door).  All ballots must be completed and submitted by Monday, 19th October at 18.00.  The votes will be opened and counted by the two patron nominees of the Board.

 

Afterschool Music Classes

Please note, there will be no music classes on Monday, 12th October and Monday, 19th October.  One of the sessions will be made up on Thursday, 22nd October.  The other session will hopefully be made up later in the term.  If this doesn’t suit, you will be refunded for the cancelled classes.

 

Visit to Barna Woods

We had a fantastic visit to Barna Woods and Cappagh Park on Friday.  Sincere thanks to all the parents who accompanied us.  We had great fun with treasure hunts, forest games, a story in the woods, a rousing game of Stuck in the Mud and great fun at the playground.  Our first outing was a good success, and we look forward to many more this year.  Many thanks to the Board of Management for financing the bus to make such outings possible.

 

Baboró

Senior infants will attend a performance of Guess How Much I Love You on Friday, 16th October.

 

Halloween

As an advance warning, the school will have a very simple Halloween event on Friday, 23rd October before the mid-term break.  Children are invited to dress in costumes, and we will play a few games and have a special snack.

 

Our Outdoor Kitchen

A big thank you to John (Molly’s dad) for making our play kitchen for our yard!  They’ll be a few more additions coming soon to enhance the yard.
