On 1st September 2014 we were delighted to welcome His Worship, The Mayor of Galway, Cllr Donal Lyons as well as our first class of junior infants to open the school. The Mayor and each child cut a ribbon, and each family planted a flower in the school garden. Berry bushes were also planted in pots. Martina von Richter – Japy, a member of the Educate Together Board of Directors, brought a beautiful oak tree for the school. Fionnuala Ward, Primary Education Officer for Educate Together, also participated in the opening. It was a great day for our new school community!
