Safe Internet Use Workshop
All parents are invited to attend a workshop presented by the National Parents Council on Wednesday, 2nd May from 19.30-21.30. The focus of this important workshop is safe internet use. Increasingly this is a very important topic for families, and all parents are strongly urged to attend this free event supported by the Parent-Teacher Association.
Ranganna Gaeilge do Thuismitheoirí
There will be no Irish class again this Wednesday (02/05). This is to facilitate the workshop mentioned above. We’ll definitely resume on Wednesday, 9th March. As usual, all are welcome to join us whether you’ve attended the first two classes or not.
Each class has been having a great time buidling with Bricí Spraoi. Luckily we have one more day of fun tomorrow. Thanks to the Parent-Teacher Association for supporting this activity. More photos are available here.
Active School Week
We had a very busy, active week with obstacle courses, rainy day activities when the weather did cooperate, ball game stations, dance and more running as part of our Run Across Europe Challenge. The Walking Bus was a huge success, and we will look to repeat this in the near future. Many thanks to those parents who shared photos of your children doing something active for homework on Wednesday which will be added to the website soon, and the full report on the week at www.ketns.ie/initiatives/active-school.
Several cases of chicken pox have been reported. The HSE advises that many children with chickenpox are too sick to attend school and are more comfortable at home. Children can spread the infection to others as long as there are any spots which are not crusted and dried. Children with chickenpox should be excluded from school until scabs are dry, usually five to seven days after the appearance of the rash.
