After-school Clubs

Due to popular demand, the Chess and Draughts Club for first and second classes will continue for the remainder of the term on Tuesdays.   Also, Athletics for 1st and 2nd class will resume on Wednesday.  The fee for each of these up until the end of the term in March will be €25.  The rest of the after-school clubs will continue as planned until the end of the term.  Basketball for all classes will return in the final term of the year.

Upcoming School Closures

As an advanced warning, the school will be closed on Monday, 19th March for St Patrick’s Day holiday.  Spring Break will begin on Friday, 23rd March when the school will have an early dismissal at 12.00.  The school will reopen on Monday, 9th April.  Also, a reminder that the school will be closed on Friday, 27th April for teacher in-service training related to the new language curriculum.  Afterschool @ KETNS will be offering a camp during the spring break as well as on the 27th April.

Friendship Week

We will finish up our Friendship Week activities early this next week.  Friendship bracelets will still be available for purchase for a couple of more days.  The children and staff have collaborated on a display that should be up before the end of the week.

Siblings

A reminder that it is never too early to add your child to the pre-enrolment list.  Our enrolment policy does not include a right of entry, so please complete an online application to prevent any future worry or stress.

This past week first class has been learning about tendons and how scientists are working toward repairing them.  Thanks to Vivienne, who is a CÚRAM Teacher in Residence at NUI Galway, for the lesson.
