Thank You
As another year comes to a close, it goes without saying that the year was successful because of the hard work and dedication of all the staff members, Board of Management members, parents, children and visiting teachers. It is exciting to continue to see the school grow from strength to strength as a true learning community develops. We look forward to another great year beginning this autumn. Updates will be sent out over the summer regarding any news regarding accommodation or staff appointments. In the meantime, we hope everyone in the school community has a restful, safe summer break!
School Fees
Thank you to all the parents have already paid €40 towards your child’s school fees for 2017-2018. The balance of fees should be paid by 1st September.
Summer Holidays and First Day of School
Over the summer holidays, Matt and Claudia will be available at the school, usually 9-11 (and beyond) on weekdays. Please phone or email if we can be of assistance. The first day of the new school year will be on Wednesday, 30th August.
Attendance Awards
A number of children were presented with certificates for excellent attendance as they were at school more than 98% of the time (three absences or less). One child was recognised for having perfect attendance.
Infant School Tours
The Junior and Senior Infants had a fantastic visit to Turoe Pet Farm and Activity Centre. Additional photos are available here.
Science Lessons with Fionnghuala
Each class was visited by Fionnghuala who did various activities related to scientists using their senses to make observations. She also brought in a variety of fish to show the children. Many thanks for your lessons, Fionnghuala!
Sports Day and End-of-Term Assembly
Sincere thanks to all the parents and staff members for the fantastic Sports Day. It was great to have so many people involved, and all the children had a very active day. Also, many thanks to all the families for bringing in lovely food to share at the potluck. More photos are available here.
