Spring Break and Seachtain na Gaeilge

School will be closed from Thursday 17th March and will re-open on Monday, 4th April for the Spring Break.  We will have an early dismissal on the final day of the term, Wednesday, 16th March, at 12.00.  This will be preceded by a Cruinniu na Gaeilge (Irish language assembly) for Seachtain na Gaeilge at 11.30.  Fáilte roimh chách!  All are welcome to join us!  Parents and other guests are welcome from 11.00 for a cupán tae (cup of tea) and a bit of comhrá (conversation) no matter whether you have never spoke a word of Irish or are líofa (fluent)!

Our City Centre Tour

On Friday we had a fantastic tour of Galway City.  Our first stop was the Galway City Library.  We heard a story and had a look around at all the library has to offer.  Many thanks to the librarians for welcoming us.

Our next stop was the Galway City Museum.  We had a look around the exhibitions and particularly liked the submarine and the Galway hooker, which is the inspiration for our school logo.

From there we walked to the Claddagh, stopping to look across at the Long Walk and the swans.   This was followed by a visit to the playground at Nimmo’s Pier.  Many thanks to all the parents who joined us for a great day!
