PTA Meeting
The next meeting will take place on Wednesday, 18th November at 19.00. Topics for discussion include planning a social event for the school community, a healthy eating policy, yard activities and developing a policy regarding birthday invitations and marking special occasions. All parents are most welcome to attend.
Parent-Teacher Meetings
Parent-teacher meetings will take place on Tuesday, 24th November from 13.45-18.00 and on Thursday, 26th November from 17.30-20.30. Sign-up sheets will be posted on the classroom doors from Tuesday morning.
Junk Art
As part of the structured play during Aistear time, we are doing junk art where children make their own creations out of recyclable materials. We’d kindly ask for donations of clean, dry recyclables from families. Thanks!
Healthy Eating
The PTA will be discussing the drafting of a formal healthy-eating policy. We strongly urge parents to become involved in shaping this conversation. In the meantime, we’d ask that children continue to bring in a healthy lunch each day that is balanced and includes fruits/vegetables. We’d kindly ask that chocolate, sweets, crisps and fizzy drinks not be sent in to school. Many thanks for your cooperation.
Gaeilge
We have been learning body parts. You might ask your child to sing “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” to you in Irish to learn/review them.
ceann (cyoun) – head lámh (lahv) – hand
cos (cuss) – foot súile (soo-luh) – eyes
