PTA Meeting

Our first Parent-Teacher Association meeting will take place on Friday, 18th September at 9.00 in the staff room.  All are welcome!  The main agenda items are to plan for the upcoming AGM and to look ahead to events this term. 

Coffee Morning in Aid of Galway Hospice

We will host a coffee morning in aid of Galway Hospice on Friday, 25th September from 9.00-10.30.  This annual tradition is a great way for families from across the classes to meet one another as well as to support a very worthy cause.  More details will follow.

Traffic Safety

Thanks for your cooperation in making drop-off and pick up smooth and safe.  There are just a couple things to note:

  • The first gate is for staff cars coming and going from both schools.  All pedestrians and cyclists should use the second gate.
  • Our neighbours in Manor Court have requested that all cyclists and pedestrians exercise extreme caution when coming and going from school as the estate has a number of blind spots.  While it is easy to pick up speed coming down the hill, we ask everyone walking or cycling to move slowly and anticipate that cars will be entering the road from the cul-de-sacs.

Afterschool Clubs

A new term of afterschool clubs will commence soon.  Registration opens Thursday, 10th September in person at the office from 8.40.  Parents are asked to pay for the term upfront to secure a place.  We can only accept cash payments.  All afterschool clubs start at 14.30 and end at 15.30, with the exception of Creative Dance which starts at 13.30 and ends at 14.30.

12 sessions – €35 for the first two terms to cover the cost of music and travel expenses
This year the choir will sing in local events and participate in the Ennis Choral Festival Competition for Primary Schools.

This is a new and developing club that will engage in small service projects (gardening, tidying, planning events, etc.) for our school as well as the wider community.  All that is required is a willingness to attend and a commitment to helping others.  Register to join us!
