The school will have an early dismissal on Friday, 9th May.  This is to facilitate a professional development session with the staff regarding the new anti-bullying guidelines and procedures, Bí Cineálta.  Infants will finish at 11.50 that day and all other classes at 12.00.  Afterschool @ KETNS will open at these times.

Academic Calendar

Attached to this newsletter is the academic calendar for the 2025-2026 school year.  We will begin the new school year on Thursday, 28th August.  In addition to the required closures, we will be closed for a mid-term break for the first week of May.

Welcome to Elías

We’re very pleased to welcome Elías Castillo Pérez, a visiting student teacher from Spain.  He will be working in the school through late May, and he has already begun teaching engaging lessons about Spanish culture.  He will also be delivering some Spanish language lessons as well as support all the learning activities in the school.

Maths Games for Homework

Beginning in the last term of the school year, children from infants to 3rd Class will be bringing home maths games for homework.  This is a great way for you to spend time with your child while helping to support the development of their maths skills in a fun and enjoyable way.  If you notice any pieces are missing, please let your child’s class teacher know.

Daffodil Day Breakfast

We had a very successful breakfast in aid of the Irish Cancer Society on Friday, 28th March.  Over €2000 was raised between cash and online contributions. Many thanks for your generosity, and thanks to Áine for coordinating the event.

Credit Union Quiz National Final

We are extremely proud of our senior quiz team who represented the school at the Credit Union National Final.  This is an incredible achievement for them and for our school, and we are extremely proud of their excellent performance in such a challenging competition!
