Tesco Community Fund
Our school has been selected to participate in the Tesco Community Fund. Anyone shopping at the Knocknacarra Tesco can take blue tokens and choose our school community to receive support. This will continue for several weeks. Tesco will then make a donation to our school based on the number of tokens.

Coffee Morning in Aid of Galway Hospice
We will host a coffee morning in aid of Galway Hospice on Friday, 22nd September from 9.00-10.30. Parents are welcome to come in to the school hall for a cup of tea or coffee and a chance to meet other parents. We’d kindly that those staying park at Cappagh Park to ensure the traffic at drop off flows smoothly. We’d also appreciate any donations of baked items for the occasion. Families are invited to make a small monetary donation to support Galway Hospice.

Traffic Management Plan
Many thanks for your support with the new traffic management plan. It appears to be off to a good start. If anyone has any feedback, please let Matt know. We are still looking for volunteers to lead a walking bus. Also, we will look to put up permanent signs designating the drop-off zone once we feel the system is working well. A reminder that we do not provide supervision until 8.40 and children should not be left prior to this time without a parent unless they are attending the Breakfast Club.

Breakfast Club
The Breakfast Club continues this year, providing breakfast and supervision from 8.00 onwards for €3 per day. This is open to all families in the school. Starting
this week, we will no longer require parents to complete the online form to attend as we will return to treating this as a drop-in service. Any questions can be addressed to Claudia.

Beach and Woods Visits
Many of the classes took advantage of the warm, sunny weather last week with visits to Barna Woods or just fun outside. Everyone was surprised with either an ice
cream or an iced lolly last Thursday.

A child’s bicycle was found on the grounds at the end of the summer. Speak to Matt if yours is missing.

Welcome Junior Infants!
We are delighted that our new junior infants have settled in so well. They have been busy getting to know each other and starting their learning journey together.
