Immunisations

A community medical doctor and school public health nurse will be visiting the school on Monday, 26th January to administer vaccinations.  A letter was sent home with families today.  Please return the form to us as soon as possible and no later than Thursday, 15th January.  Please let us know if you have any questions.

Show and Tell

One of the themes we are talking about this month is toys.  Each child will have a designated day for bringing in their favourite toy and showing it to the class.  It might be a good idea to practice telling about the toy at home.  Practice the five w’s (who, what, where, when, why) so that your child is confident.  We’d recommend not sending in anything very fragile or extremely precious.  A list of the assigned dates is posted near the front door of the school.

Letters

Many thanks to all the families who are reviewing the letter sounds and practicing blending at home.  We would ask that the letters always be sent back to school each day so that we can use them at school as well.  If you need another set of letters, please contact Matt.

Enrolment of Siblings

We have begun the process of enrolling the new class of junior infants for September 2015.  A reminder that families with younger siblings should complete the online pre-enrolment available on the school website as soon as possible to ensure younger siblings will have places in future years.

After-School Clubs

Our after-school clubs started this past week.  It is not too late to participate this term.

  • Monday – Music and Movement with Fiona
  • Tuesday – Art Classes with Sylvia
  • Wednesday – Basketball Skills with Vivienne
  • Thursday – Capoeria with Lisa
