Consultation regarding Bí Cineálta (Anti-bullying Policy)
Many thanks to those parents who completed the short survey related to drafting our new anti-bullying guidelines. If you haven’t already, please complete the survey.
Spring Fair
Our Spring Fair was another great day for our school community, and sincere thanks to the Parent-Teacher Association Committee for the planning as well as the many volunteers, bakers, raffle ticket sellers and everyone who donated things for the fair. It is much appreciated! In addition to raising over €5000 for the school community, we had a fantastic and fun day making the most of the beautiful weather. Many thanks to Marisa and Sandra for taking great photos on the day. More photos can be viewed on our website here.

SEAI Lessons
All the classes had special lessons on energy and sustainability with Declan and Catriona from Brigit’s Garden over the past week.

Bike Disco
We had a fantastic bike disco. Well done to all the children and staff members who participated. We had well over 100 bikes and scooters at the disco, and the bike parking was filled beyond capacity. We enjoyed ice cream afterwards as we celebrated raising our third green flag. Many of the participants went home with fantastic prizes. Well done to the Green School Committee for organising the event and special thanks to Galway City Council for sponsoring the event.

So many on their bikes and their scooters ready for the bike disco!

Winners of the helmet contest
City Sports
A group of children represented the school at the annual City Sports running competition. They all ran fantastic races, and we were delighted to celebrate that one child won a medal. Many thanks to Vivienne and Nora for the training sessions and assisting at the event.

6th Class Play
This past week 6th Class continued the tradition of performing a Shakespeare play, this year Much Ado About Nothing. The actors were absolutely fantastic, showing an amazing ability to memorise their lines but also communicate the complex story and language so effectively. Bravo!

Infants School Tour
The Junior and Senior Infants had a fantastic tour to Wildlands last week. Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely with the range of activities. Other classes will have their school tours over the next few weeks.

Curious Minds Award
We are pleased to announce that the school has been a Research Ireland Curious Minds Gold Award. This is in recognition of the range of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) activities taking place in the school. Well done to Padraic, the STEM Committee and everyone in the school community for all your efforts!
