Mid-term Break
A reminder that the school will be closed from Monday, 6th May through Wednesday, 8th May for the mid-term break.
School Lunches
We are all set to begin our hot lunch programme on Monday. Thanks for your patience! Everyone should have received the login information so that you can select meal options for your child. This must be done at the close of business on Friday each week (in this case, tomorrow for the next week). If parents don’t login to select meals, a hot meal will be provided for children but not necessarily of their choosing. If you haven’t received the login information, please reply to this email so we can send this to you. Of note, there are a number of vegetarian options, and all the meals with chicken are also Halal.
If you know your child will be absent, please login on to cancel a meal delivery for your child. On days when the entire class will be away, such as school tours, a cold lunch will be provided. On occasions, such as sports events, when a few children will be away from different classes, parents will have to send a lunch in that day. We will endeavour to notify you in advance as much as possible so that you can be prepared.
There may be some teething problems at the start, so please feel free to contact Carambola or the school so we can make any necessary adjustments.
Spring Fair
The Spring Fair is fast approaching, and we look forward to a great day on Saturday, 18th May from 12.00 to 16.00. The success of the Spring Fair each year is dependent on the volunteering and supporting of all the families in the school. Therefore the Parent-Teacher Association is eager to ensure we have sufficient volunteer support. Parents can sign up to volunteer here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E49AAAF22A7F9C43-49281725-spring. If every parent offers one hour of their time on the day, everything will run smoothly.
Every year the raffle is a very important part of the fundraising efforts. Tomorrow, Friday, 26th April, each family will receive some raffle tickets to sell. Sincere thanks to the parents who cut, organised and stapled the tickets this week. Please return the ticket stubs (the part where the purchasers write their name and contact details) along with the money to Claudia in the office. If you are unable to sell the tickets, please return them to the office. If anyone is able to sell additional tickets, please collect them in the office.
Finally, we hope everyone will be able to bring something for the café, so be thinking about what you might be able to bake. Thanks in advance for all your support!
Learn Together Committee and Earth Day
Well done to the Learn Together Committee who marked Earth Day by cleaning the school grounds. They also led all the children in making a commitment to avoid single-use plastics.

Talent Show
The recent talent show organised by the Parent-Teacher Association was a huge success. The hall was filled for the occasion, and hats off to the brave and talented children and parents who performed so well! There was great singing, acting, stand-up comedy, magic, dancing, unicycling, music and much more! We’ll definitely look to having another such event in the future. In the meantime, mark your calendars for the next family quiz night which will take place on the 14th June.

Basketball Matches with Scoil Fhursa
We welcomed the basketball team from Scoil Fhursa to the school last week for some friendly matches in front of a big home crowd! Everyone had a great time, and thanks to Ger for arranging everything!
