Coffee Morning
Everyone is invited to join us on Friday, 30th September for a Coffee Morning in aid of Galway Hospice in the school from 8.50 to 11.00. This is a great opportunity for parents to get together and meet one another, particularly our newest members of our school community. Parents can drop in any goodies for the event, and we look forward to seeing you then.
Photographer
County Photos will be coming to the school on the morning of Tuesday, 11th October to take individual portraits as well as class pictures.
Scholastic Book Club
Each family will receive a leaflet for the September Scholastic Book Club. This is a great way to purchase quality reading materials while also supporting our school as we receive credits towards free books for the school with every purchase made by families. You can place an order online by visiting http://schools.scholastic.ie/knocknacarra-etns or return a paper order form with payment to Claudia. All orders must be received by Friday, 7th October. Books will be delivered to the school.
Sewing Machine?
Would any parents have a sewing machine and would be willing to do a simple task for the school? If so, please contact Matt or Claudia.
Home Time Collection
The entrance to our school, and particularly the car park, is a very busy place at home time. We would kindly ask parents to enter the school yard and wait for your children there. This helps us ensure all our pupils are safe and helps prevent the area directly in front of the school from being overcrowded. On wet days, we will invite parents to come in to the classrooms to collect their children. Many thanks for your cooperation.
School Fees
If you haven’t had a chance to pay the school fees for the year, we’d kindly ask you to do this as soon as possible. These modest fees cover the cost of all school books, pupil stationery, photocopying, arts and crafts materials and the subscription fee for Educate Together.
A Visit from Dogs’ Trust
Each class had a visit from Aoife representing Dogs’ Trust. Aoife gave a great presentation to each class on responsible care of dogs as well as how to interact with dogs in a safe manner.
