June Bank Holiday

The school will be closed on Monday, 5th June for the Bank Holiday.  The school will also be closed on Tuesday, 6th June.  Afterschool @ KETNS is offering a one-day camp on the 6th.

 

Portfolio Sharing Meetings

Many thanks to all the parents for attending the recent Portfolio Meetings with your children.  If you have not been able to attend a meeting yet, please speak with your child’s class teacher to make arrangements.

 

School Plan

Based on consultation with parents, staff members, Board members and the children of the school, a draft School Plan for 2017-2022 is ready for consideration and feedback.  You are welcome to attend the next PTA meeting or reply to this email to give your feedback.

 

Next Parent-Teacher Association Meeting

The next PTA meeting will take place on Wednesday, 31st May at 19.00 in the school.  We will discuss the draft school plan, review the Spring Fair and discuss future plans for special learning experiences in the new academic year.  All parents are most welcome!

 

School Tours

The school tours have been arranged.  Junior and Senior Infants will be visiting Turoe Pet Farm near Loughrea on Monday, 19th June.  First Class will be visiting Brigit’s Garden near Roscahill on Friday, 16th June.  The cost for all the tours is €15 per child.  Permission forms with all the details will be sent out next week.

 

Our New Class of Junior Infants

Last night we welcomed parents of our new junior infants to the school.  The children will visited the school today.  It is exciting to see our school continue to grow!

 

Froglets in Junior Infants

After learning about the life cycle of frogs, the Junior Infants recently collected tadpoles and are watching froglets metamorphosing into little frogs.
