Pupil Portfolio Sharing

Sincere thanks to all the parents who came to look at your child’s portfolio with them and to meet with teachers.  If you were unable to attend on Friday, please contact your child’s teacher to arrange an alternative appointment.

 

School Tour

Our school tour for junior and senior infants will take place on Friday, 24th June.  We will be going to the Galway Atlantaquarium and Monkey Business.  A permission form with more information about the tour will be sent home in homework bags on Wednesday.

 

Sports Day and Family Potluck

We will have a Sports Day and Family Potluck on Monday, 27th June.  All parents are invited to join us for the occasion.  We will walk to Miller’s Lane for the sports events and then return to the school for an end-of-year potluck.  We are encouraging families to bring some food to share that is one of your family’s favourites or representative of your family’s cultural heritage.  The sports events will begin at 11.00.  The potluck will begin at 12.45.

 

Last Day of School

The final day of this school year will be Tuesday, 28th June.  Please note, this is one day earlier than previously announced.  We are required to close the school for one day of in-service training regarding the introduction of the Primary Language Curriculum.  After discussion with the Parent-Teacher Association, it was decided to close the school one day earlier than planned to facilitate the in-service training.  We will have an assembly for all parents at 11.30.  Dismissal will be at 12.00.
