New Facebook Group

A new Facebook group has been launched by the Parent-Teacher Association.  This is a closed group for parents and guardians of children who attend our school.  The aim is to increase connection and communication within our school community.  Please post events, social activities and news which will help us to get to know each other better and experience being part of a great school family.  Visit www.facebook.com/groups/KETNSParents/ and request to join the group.  Also, if you haven’t already, please visit, follow and like our school’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/KETNS/.

A reminder that the basketball afterschool clubs will not resume until Wednesday, 1st February.

Consultation Meeting on the School Plan

Many thanks to everyone who attended last week’s meeting.  It was a very good conversation, and the exciting ideas generated will be used to inform the drafting of the development section of the School Plan.  The Board will agree a draft and then present it to the school community for feedback.  Sincere thanks to all the parents, teachers and Board members who participated!

New Aistear Activities

This month our new Aistear activities are a toy shop, biongó (as Gaeilge), the dollhouse and a sand table.

Superheroes Theme

First class has had great fun over the past two weeks creating their own superheroes.  They made masks, giant group drawings and passports for their superheroes and wrote fantastic stories which are displayed outside their classroom.
