End-of-Term Assembly
We will have an end-of-term assembly on Wednesday, 21st December. This will take place at Áras Bóthar na Trá, Dr. Mannix Road. The assembly will begin at 13.00. All the children will be transported there by bus. Everyone is invited to attend the assembly. It will be followed by a potluck. To ensure we a have a variety of foods, we’re asking families in junior infants to bring a starter or salad, families in senior infants to bring a main and families in first class to bring a dessert. If there are children in your family in different classes, you only need to bring one item. Parents can collect children directly, but we will also arrange transport for children back to school at the end of the event.
Last Day of Term
The last day of the term will be Thursday, 22nd December. There will be an early dismissal at 12.00. School will reopen on Monday, 9th January.
Writing
The classes have been doing different writing tasks. Senior infants wrote about a family event. First class wrote fantastic stories related to our space theme.
Feeding the Birds
Junior infants scattered some seeds for the birds and hung a bird feeder and some apples on a tree outside their classroom. This week they will make some bird feeders.
Open Evening
Sincere thanks to the parents who attended the Open Evening and spoke with prospective parents about the school.
Playhouse
A big thank you to Dan who repaired the playhouse in the school yard!
