The school will be closed on Monday, 6th June for the June Bank Holiday.

 

Parent-Teacher Association Meeting

The next PTA meeting will take place tomorrow (Monday, 30th May) at 19.00 at the Clybaun Hotel.  All parents are invited to join us.  We will review the Spring Fair, plan for next year and seek input from the parent body on their vision for the school.  Please join us!

 

Pupil Portfolio Sharing

Pupil portfolio sharing will take place on Friday, 3rd June.  If you haven’t already, please sign up for an appointment as soon as possible.  This is a great opportunity for you to see your child’s learning progress as well as to meet your child’s teacher.

 

Voluntary Contribution

Many thanks to those families who have given a voluntary contribution to the school.  Receipts will be sent out at the end of the week.

 

Choice Time

On most Fridays we do choice time rather than Aistear time.  Each class has several options for play time, and each child gets an opportunity to decide how they will play.

 

AFTERSCHOOL @ KETNS

A reminder that enrolments for next year for next year’s afterschool should be submitted as soon as possible.

  • Priority will be given to those enrolling for a five-day week.
  • We would, however, like to accommodate as many parents as possible; should you require less than five days a week please let me know (contact details below), and we will try to match up children who need opposite days.
  • A deposit of €100 is required. One month’s notice is required should you wish to remove your child from the afterschool.
  • For those children not currently attending the afterschool, we will require a completed registration form. I can forward this by email or, should you prefer a hard copy, they will be available to collect from the school from Wednesday 25th
  • As we have had small numbers this year, we have been able to be flexible when parents have wanted to change around their days. This will not always be possible next year.
  • Fees must be paid for every week of the school year, at the beginning of each week, regardless of whether the child attends or not. Payment can be made in cash or by direct debit.

To book a place, please return a completed registration form and full deposit as soon as possible. If you have any queries you can talk to Wioleta at the afterschool from 13.15 each day, or contact me by email – jennihynes@gmail.com – or on 087 6243599.  Of course, if you have already booked in with Wioleta and paid your deposit then your place is reserved.
