The school will be closed on Monday, 1st May for the Bank Holiday.  Also, the school will be closed on Tuesday, 9th May to facilitate a staff training day about the new Primary Language Curriculum.  The Afterschool @ KETNS will offer a one-day camp on the day.

Spring Fair Preparations

Everything is coming together for the Spring Fair.  Raffle tickets were sent home before the break.  Many thanks to those who have started selling.  If you would like additional tickets, they are available.  Equally, if you are unable to sell the tickets, please return them to the school.

An event has been created on the school’s Facebook page.  Please like and share it.  Posters and fliers will be available as well.

Many thanks to everyone who has signed up to volunteer on the day.  There are still a few gaps on the rota, so if you haven’t signed up, please do.

Families are kindly asked to bring in some baking (sweet or savoury) for the café.  This should be brought on the 29th.  Equally, families may bring in gently used toys and other items (though no clothes) for the school stall in the craft market.  Please bring these on the day of the fair.

Minutes from the previous Parent-Teacher Association meeting are attached.  We will have a final planning meeting on Wednesday, 26th April at 19.00.  We look forward to a great day!

Welcome Back, Áine

Everyone was delighted to welcome back Áine.  She sent a card to the school thanking the children and parents for the wonderful things they made for her during her recovery.  The beautiful artwork below was created by the parents.  The text of her card is reprinted below.

To all my Tweety Birds and their Mammies and Daddies,

Go raibh mile maith agaibh go léir ó cheartlár mo chroí!  I was blown away by all your good wishes, kind words and happy thoughts. I LOVEmy school family tree with all my little tweety birds on show.  I’ve missed my school family so much and hope to be back fighting fit very soon.  Once again thank you all so very much!

Le grá,

Áine

Many Thanks to Sinéad

We wish to thank Sinéad for teaching junior infants this past term so ably.  We are very fortunate that she was able to fill the post having known the children well through her previous work in the school.  Parents also made something very beautiful for Sinéad.
