Mid-term Break
The school will be closed for the mid-term break next week on Thursday 19th and Friday 20th February inclusive. Afterschool @ KETNS is holding a two-day camp at the school on those days.
Talent Show
All are welcome to the talent show that will take place tomorrow evening, Friday, 13th February at the school. Come along even if you just want to be an audience member. Acts will be finalised tomorrow. The talent show will start at 18.30 and should finish no later than 20.00. Families are invited to bring a snack to share, if they wish.
Hot Lunches
Our first week has gone well with our new lunch provider. We welcome any feedback you may have. Cathal & Assumpta from HotSchoolmeals.ie are available any time to assist you as required (email info@hotschoolmeals.ie or phone 087 7974524). We have received clarification that going forward your order is repeated until it is changed by parents/guardians. This avoids parents/guardians missing a cut off point for ordering. That being said, Bradbury & Connolly would encourage changing orders regularly as the children will be getting different nutrients from different meals. It also helps avoid ‘menu fatigue’ setting in. You can change or cancel your order 36 hours in advance.
World Book Day
This week children brought home World Book Day tokens which can be exchanged for specified books or used to save money on other books in bookshops across Galway. We will celebrate World Book Day on Thursday, 5th March. Children are encouraged to dress up as a character from one of their favourite books, so start planning your costumes now!
Credit Union Quiz
Two teams represented our school at the annual Credit Union Quiz. Both teams did very well. The competition was stiff. One of our teams ended up in first place, just one point behind the first-place team, and received a prize and recognition. Bravo! Continued thanks to the Claddagh Credit Union for organising this annual event.

As part of Creative February, several classes completed Mandala workshop using materials they had handy. Here is a lovely example from the junior infants. They are looking forward to repeating this with natural materials when weather improves and potential collaboration with other classes.
